When should you replace Engine Cooling & A/C Control Systems?

Air Conditioning system defects are easy to identify and isolate due to the user-facing function that they hold. The vehicle operator will be able to advise as soon as the cabin climate management system is not operating as it should. Engine Cooling systems are only slightly more difficult to identify while the vehicle is in motion and under-load.

Some of the common indicators that might  suggest engine cooling defect include:

  • Rising temperature gauge on the dashboard

  • Smoke coming from the engine chassis

  • Faster than normal consumption of coolant fluid

  • White smoke coming from the combustion chamber

  • Green (sweet smelling) fluid visible on the floor underneath the truck after a period vehicle of inactivity
